Playful Literacy (Opal School)
Join Susan McKay and other teacher researchers who will share their innovative approaches to Literacy and meaning-making, exploring connections between literacy, play and the arts. Presenters will combine theoretical frameworks with stories of children engaged in meaning-making through story in preschool through primary grade settings. These stories document approaches which, through extensive teacher-research, have demonstrated considerable promise in developing the creative, inquisitive, flexible thinking skills demanded in the 21st century.
