A public talk and interactive workshop
Remida is a project-and a place-that questions sustainability from an educational perspective, bringing industrial production and education into dialogue.
Created within the framework of the Reggio Emilia Approach, Remida addresses the environmental emergency through a pedagogy of listening, caring for, and valuing industrial waste materials that are considered nonconforming, imperfect, and useless.
Eloisa is an atelierista and PhD fellow in Reggio Childhood Studiesin Reggio Emilia, Italy. She works for the Reggio Children Foundation as an expert in sustainability education and has been a training manager at Remida, the Creative Recycling Centre, since 2012.
As part of the PhD program in Reggio Childhood Studies, promoted by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the Reggio Children Foundation, she is conducting research on the dialogue between the Pedagogy of Listening at the heart of the Remida Approach and environmental studies, discard studies and waste pedagogies.
