The project came about because going for walks during outside play time was an area of discourse in which all staff didn’t share the same values.
The most significant learning includes: following children’s lead and interest, the staff working from a place of reflective practice, and most importantly a new found COLLABORATION for staff.
It’s been such a valuable experience for us at Malaika, particularly because – despite all the changes in staff – we have a very strong foundation for COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE. Our team is communicating very effectively and we have an understanding that collaboration is key within our centre, and with other people we work with.
